This is the biggest nature reserve in France. It's a superb region, immense, wild and ideal for observing fauna : we may be lucky enough to see a black grouse, ibex or mountain hare on the fringe of the woods.
Accommodation on the trek is in simple mountain huts, therefore sleeping, cooking and eating equipment must be carried in. The route can be adapted to suit skiers of any standard.
