Everything about the Guide

Le guide dans les airsI was born in Romans in the Drôme. I started my climbing career when I was two on the steep stairs of my family home.

In 1992 I became a qualified guide. Rock climbing is my passion and I live at Presles (the French climbers' Mecca) where I work with dedication and enthusiasm as a professional guide.

I devote a lot of time to opening high level routes but I also greatly enjoy discovering more accessible ones for my clients. Examples are the hardest route up the Presles cliff, Badaboum (12 lengths between 7a and 8a which I opened in 1991 and immediately free climbed) and the easiest, Bim Bam Boum (3 lengths between 4 and 5).

For 10 years I also trained candidate guides. The warm human relations that develop during expeditions in the mountains are amongst the greatest satisfactions I get from my profession.

For the last two years my partner Dominique and I have been living in a beautiful farmhouse that we renovated on the clifftop. If you hear the bushes shaking with laughter it is probably because the children Léa and Adrien are playing there.
